Mission Statement

To proclaim, teach and demonstrate the heart of the Father toward His children and toward those who do not yet know Him.  We believe the Father’s heart to be nothing but Goodness (Agathos) for them. We are a non-denominational Christian Church that believes that God is absolutely, essentially and consummately good. That He is Light and that there is no darkness in Him at all (1 Jn. 1:5). That He loves us so much that He gave His own life for us. Furthermore, we are here to be about the Father’s business, which is to lead as many as will come, to salvation through Jesus Christ and to disciple them in the ways of Jesus.

Understanding the word “Agathos”

It is a Greek word that means “good” or “goodness”, “intrinsically good in character.” It describes that which, being good in its character is beneficial in its effect. Beneficence, kindness in actual manifestation. Virtue equipped for action, a bountiful propensity both to will and to do what is good. Intrinsic goodness producing a generosity and a Godlike state or being. Agathos is a rare word that combines being good and doing good.

In scripture we find a story recorded in Mathew, Mark and Luke, where a rich ruler came to Jesus and said, “Good (Agathos) Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered and said, “Why do you call me good (Agathos), only one is good (Agathos) and that is God.”

The strength of meaning of this particular Greek word for “good” is so strong that no man would qualify. This is why Jesus said “only one is Agathos, and that is God.”
